Meet your English teacher Ashton!

Hi! I’m Ashton and I have been teaching in a variety of contexts since 2019, and formally since 2023. I have taught children from an array of cultures, and different all walks of life. I am passionate about teaching in a way that is learner-centered and learner-friendly. I believe that learners have prior knowledge. Therefore, my teaching style is to guide and equip children as they build upon their existing knowledge. I want to create a learning environment that supports their independence while building a sense of tenacity and confidence. My Superpower is that I love to learn! I am learning how to paint, how to knit and how to play the drums! I am so excited to meet you, and I will see you soon!
