Meet your English teacher AJ!

Hello! I'm April Joy, but you can call me AJ. Teaching has been my passion for years, and since 2022, I've had the privilege of sharing my love for English with students worldwide. I've taught children as young as 4 and adults as old as 80. I find immense joy in witnessing the spark of understanding in my students' eyes and guiding them through their language-learning journey with patience and encouragement. Outside of teaching, I indulge in a variety of hobbies that enrich my classroom experience. As a cosplayer, I understand the importance of creativity and imagination, which I incorporate into my lesson planning to make learning English exciting and memorable. Watching cartoons helps me stay attuned to the interests of my younger students, allowing me to incorporate relevant and engaging content into my lessons. Additionally, my love for painting and playing instruments fosters a sense of creativity and expression that I encourage in my students as they explore the English language. My Superpower is that I can speak four languages fluently (Japanese, Hiligaynon, Filipino, and English)!
